Art & Wallcoverings

Noel Gatts, HGTV Host/Designer in front of Mitchell & Black Wallpaper and Brooklyn Dolly Art

Choosing wallcoverings is overwhelming to most people. I know. Even if you’re focusing on more affordable removeable wallpaper or art prints, the investment can be significant, and the result is a commitment. If you want to invest in handpainted papers or original art pieces, the cost can really skyrocket. I’m here to help! I’ll be rotating my recommendations over time, and highlighting various design themes and approaches. So, stay tuned and check back from time to time!

Contemporary Art

These selections focus on striking contemporary work, that can bridge the gap between old and new while making a major statement! Always pay attention to the measurements, and note that oversized pieces with an art light above can create a mood day or night, and fill up a wide expanse of wall with the perfect point of interest. A smaller piece can also be all you need as it draws you into a more limited area with a strong point of view.

Vintage Vibe Art

I’m always inspired by vintage and antique art pieces, and there is no shortage of truly striking recreations on the market! Here are som of my favorites to add an heirloom quality to any home without sacrificing impact or your modern style and sensibility.

Wallcoverings

I adore wallpaper. Textured or smooth, in a pattern or a mural, adding wallcoverings can be subtle or bold, but will always complete a mood. Just looking at this compiilation of mine makes my heart sing! I’ve used several of these lines in the many homes I’ve been able to decorate, and EVERY time they have been vital to the design and the entire vibe of the home!
