Episode 4: “Transforming a Troubled Tudor”

The home was certainly stately, but many elements had fallen into disrepair. Hasty upgrades by previous owners were not in line with the goals of the new homeowners, who planned to restore this towering tudor to it’s original glory. So, I took my design cues from the era, and salvaged several architectural elements while still opening up the space for modern living. Organic Taj Mahal quartzite stone takes center stage in the kitchen, and architecture reigns over decoration. New light fixtures meld seemlessly with the old, and the rich woods play perfectly with the new custom cabinetry. And, of course, I had to add a little fun in the powder bath!
